Petra was in ancient times the capital of the Nabataean Empire. Because of its monumental tomb temples, whose facades were carved directly from the rock, it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1985. It was always a dream for The Significant Other and myself to visit Petra and see the magic of Al Khazneh with our own eyes. It’s been a busy day at the job that pays the bills. So just a quick sneak peek post today about our visit to the ancient Nabataean city of Petra. We visited this magic place not only during the day, but also walked the mile long narrow canyon to legendary Al-Khazneh, the Treasury, when it was candle lit at night.
