Sure enough our vacation in Greece offers some opportunity at street photography. We spent the morning of last Saturday at the market in Argos, the town nearest to our holiday getaway. I brought along the Leica M (Type 240) with the Summicron 50mm F/2. Here are a couple shots from that outing.
It was quite fun doing street photography on the Argos Saturday market. People were mostly very open to having their portraits made. What surely helps is me shooting with the Leica M. The little range finder (only little in size, not in weight, this all metal cam is heavy as a brick) with the small Summicron is so much retro that people are at easy, which is not always the case if you point a huge DSLR at their face (or in my case the OM-D E-M1X with the 12-100 F/4).
The monochrome jpgs are straight out of camera, no post processing whatsoever.
After two monochrome posts in sequence I promise to show you the colors of Greece in the next posting.
Have a great Thursday!
Marcus
