I just have the right photograph to go along with this week’s Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Feet or Shoes (human or animals)Continue reading “Cee’s Black & White Challenge – Feet or Shoes”
There are those days where you think about past memories. Good or bad, joyful or sad. Happy or frightful. Memories are something that define us, that we live on, that no one can take away from us.
This photograph was taken at Värska Farm Museum near Tallinn during our visit there a year ago. The scene had black and white written all over it when I saw it. Taken with the Olympus OM-D E-M1X with the mZuiko 12-100mm F/4. I was spot-metering on the midtones on the wall, in order to capture the best dynamic range. Postprocessing in Lightroom Classic and Photoshop (I had to clone out a rope that blocked the entrance to the door).

Frequent readers of this blog know that, once in a while, I like to participate in photo challenges on Word Press, albeit less frequently lately due to the discontinuation of the WPC from “There Daily Post”. And typically I try to enter a street style photograph into the challenge, that, depending on the prompt, is sometimes more and sometimes less difficult. When I saw the first post about Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge titled “In the Distance” , I immediately had one of my images in mind (many times the library catalogue in my mind works much better than the real one in Lightroom 😉 ) . I haven’t participated in a Photo Challenge in ages. But as any outdoor activities are heavily impaired by heavy snow, I thought it a good idea to enter Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge titled “It’s all about Nature”. Now it is a bit tricky to combine Street Photography with anything nature, but the title image to this post as well as the following two photography attempt to bridge the two genres. To those I added a few more of my favorite monochrome nature shots that have appeared in previous posts on this blog. Too see them all continue after the jump… Continue reading “Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge – It’s All About Nature”
Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge for this week has the theme “abandoned or alone“. Frequent readers probably have already seen my entries for the challenge, but what I find kind of fascinating is that these themed challenges allow me to revisit older photographs and group them together in a new and different way, a creative process that I thoroughly enjoy.

I recently have discovered the Weekly Photo Challenges on WordPress for me. It is so much fun to try to answer these challenges with Street Photography images. This week’s theme of Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge is “Music”.
Frequent readers probably have already seen my four entries for the “monochrome music” challenge.
