Anyone home? This would be the title to this street photograph. But it also would have been the right question to ask the “Streets of Nuremberg” in the past weeks, the last post already dating back to the end of February. No worries! I’m still here, alive and kicking (as much as the Covid restrictions allow).
I simply took a break from blogging. I needed it, after five years of continuous content creation. But now it’s time to be back and continue to share my photographic ventures. Will need a few days to answer all comments and catch up with all of your blogs. I hope that you all got through these pandemic time unscathed.
Have a great Tuesday!
Marcus

Finding your photographic style
Hello Marcus, nice to see your photography again. Here in Northern UK, tentative steps are being made to come out of lockdown, but a long way to go yet, still not safe. I’m still a prisoner in my little valley. It’s been over a year now.
Thanks for your kind words, Jill, it’s good to be back to blogging. You guys are so ahead of us! Stay safe and enjoy the upcoming return to some normality. Marcus
Still at home, Marcus,
due to the conditions. While I had some ideas, I did not find the leisure to post some of it.
Happy Easter holidays to you and family
Bernd
Thanks, Bernd, Happy Easter to you and yours as well. It’s not easy these days to be out and about and be creative. I haven’t been to downtown in what feels like ages….But we’ll get through it, eventually! Marcus
Marcus,
we lived through 5 months of lockdown during 2020 and the greatest impact was feeling intensely bored and mentally unstable. Of course unemployment rose and people were drinking too much, but most of Australia hasn’t had a new community spread case of Covid since Christmas. So when you ask “is anyone at home?” I would say yes, but we are shaky.
What toll this pandemic takes on all of us, regardless where we live. And you are totally right about mentioning the mental effects. Everyone talks about the economy, the billions spent on relief programs and the millions of casualties. But what’s going on behind the doors of the people and the mental toll it takes on people, young and old, is not so much in discussion. But from what I observe, it is not good. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Hang in there and stay safe! Marcus
