Fair enough – this is an older street photograph, but one I never posted. But doesn’t it fit perfectly into these crazy days? I guess the space suit works just as well for virus protection. But who wouldn’t want to beam up these days?
“Ground Control to Major Tom
Ground Control to Major Tom
Take your protein pills and put your helmet on
Ground Control to Major Tom (ten, nine, eight, seven, six)
Commencing countdown, engines on (five, four, three)
Check ignition and may God’s love be with you (two, one, liftoff)”
This is a snapshot that I took in front of Seattle’s Air and Space Museum. Back in the time I still used to travel…..

Thanks, Loralei, so much appreciated! Marcus
Even apart from these crazy times I love your snapshot. Can‘t tell you exactly why. The monochrome version is perfect – it gives just the right amount of focus on the little space rides.
Thanks, Annett, I so much appreciate your kind words! Marcus
Thank you for the chuckle. Love this capture.
Thanks, glad I made you chuckle! Have a great week! Marcus
Great picture, love that song.
Thanks, Jill, who does not! I’m always flashed when hearing that song….Marcus
It’s kind of a Halloween dress-up picture. So cute.

Bet that little one had a great time in the NASA suit. We have a daughter, son-in-law and grandson who just turned 6 in the Seattle area. Waiting impatiently for the chance to travel safely to see them. Hope you and yours are staying safe, Marcus!
Thanks for reading and commenting! I keep fingers crossed you get to see your grandson soon. I’m glad my kids still live in the house or at least nearby. What a nightmare this all is, but at least we are good for now. Stay safe! Marcus
It’s still a good photo, Marcus. Nice to see you here, I hope you and your family are all feeling great my friend!
Thanks, John, as always much appreciated! We are all good, keeping fingers crossed it stays that way. Stay safe yourself and happy shooting! Marcus
Thanks, Marcus. 👍🏻
Ahhhh, travel. Not travelling far these days for sure. And I hear the EU has taken Canada off their travel list, likely a good plan as I doubt many Canadians are flying out of country these days. Hope all is well and that we all get beamed up from this year, soon. Allan
Thanks, Allan, it seems we are all pretty much grounded. What a change from my intense past two travel years, from hundred to zero in a few weeks. Well, time to enjoy what we have close by….stay safe! Marcus
