A quick street portrait today of a man with curly hair. Taken with the Leica SL2-S with the Vario Elmarit F/2.8 24-70 ASPH. Jpg out of camera (taken with the Leica’s high contrast monochrome profile).

Good shot!
Q4U ~ When you take street photos, and you know the subject is unaware you’ve photographed him/her, do you let them know and/or show them the photo you’ve just taken?
Thanks, Julie. Honest answer: it depends. I never photograph in a sneaky way, I’m always shooting in the open. In this example, the guy on the next table was fully aware that I was shooting around (the big Leica couldn’t be missed). We made eye contact and he was fully fine. Apart from that, there was no contact. If I’m shooting in public, crowded places or streets, there is not always time to make contact. But these are then candid street scenes of everyday life…If I’m interested in a particular person, I speak to them. I did a blog post once about my typical dialouge: https://streetsofnuremberg.com/2017/12/02/a-street-photographers-dialogue/
nicely captured, Marcus
