StoNur’s Landscapes – Frankonian Sunset

Winter Sunset

Winter Sunset | Franken | 2017

Despite Streets Of Nuremberg being mainly a Street Photography blog I will throw in the occasional landscape photo. I took this image at the Scherauer Weiher, a fish pond near Leinburg to the East of Nuremberg. Here in Frankonia (Franken) we sure live in a beautiful area of Germany.

I took this photo with my iPhone. Remember the saying “the best camera is the one you have with you”? So true….

Have a great day!

Marcus

  1. I’m glad I scrolled backwards, as I missed this beautiful marvel. Absolutely stunning and yes the best camera is always the one we have on us, but even the best camera is useless if it’s holder is lacking the vision. Great capture and vision here Marcus, I live it.

    1. Thanks so much 🙂 The benefit photographers have is that they actually walk through life with a different, wider vision. Even when not shooting I constantly catch myself scanning for potential photos. This training makes it easy to “see” something beautiful when it’s there…

      1. I couldn’t agree any more and I find myself often doing the same. People like us always look for any possibility that presents itself. I also think that our vision makes us artists, first seeing things many take for granted and secondly we have learned that it is not just the equipment that makes the shot, but more so the vision and what we want to capture through the viewfinder. I always feel that’s hard to teach and you are either blessed with it or not.
