Day 7 of Cassia Denner’s 10 Day Photography Challenge is something for the visual artist in me. The theme is “Art”. Instead of taking a photograph of a piece of art I decided to enter some art created by myself with my camera (Ricoh GR II) for this challenge. I’m not sure if anyone else considers these images of being “artsy”, but I like it and already envision it printed on acrylic glass on my living room wall (if cleared by The Significant Other of course). Do you have any idea what this might be? Try yourself in the comment section 😉
Check out the blogs of the other participants: Cassia (our host), Susan, Gracie, Ariana, Jenna, Arabella.

Have a great Wednesday!

As always, thanks for the reblog, Douglas!
Stunning arts, indeed. Thanks for sharing this, Marcus. I tried long exposures long time ago to capture the wave of the sea. But never try for lights yet. Thanks for the idea.
Thank you for your kind words, Nurul, and much success in trying this! Marcus
I love the abstract style you’ve created with these long exposures. I’m adding this to the long list of notes of photograph captures to try!
Thanks, Amy, glad you feel inspired! The wonderful thing about photography is that you can literally always find something to shoot and experiment! Have a great Sunday! Marcus
What an awesome way to make the landings a bit less stressful! Also love the last photo… You’ve definitely inspired me to try a shot!
Thanks, perfect feedback 🙂 !! Have a great weekend! Marcus
Looking down on a city? I love these!

Thanks, Lynne, appreciate your kind words so much! Marcus
Love your light painting, Marcus. I, too, think it is a stadium.
Thanks, Susan, it was a race track stadium indeed! Love your comment! Marcus
They make me think of sound waves. Great idea and execution, Marcus!
Thanks so much, love your feedback! Marcus
I adore these images, Marcus — they are both unique and arresting (even if they do make me a bit nervous because they suggest moderate turbulence while coming in for a landing :).
Thanks, Heide, you know how much I value your feedback! Oh, the approach was perfectly smooth, it was just my hands girating a bit with the camera 🙂
I love these. Definitely worth framing. I think I like the last one best.
Thank you so much, Carol 🙂 , love your feedback! And I also tend to like the last one best! Need to look into getting it printed on acrylic glass. Marcus
These are wonderful Abstracts, Marcus! They would look great framed on a wall. ❤️
Thanks, John, love your feedback! Marcus
Long exposure things are the best. Definitely consider them to be art. 😀
Thank you so much 🙂 !! And of course you are totally right about the long exposure things :-)! Marcus
Of course! 😃😃 I’ve never done anything with long exposure before, but one of my friends once took some colored lights and made something really cool. It’s one of my favorite types of photography. 😀
These are cool!
Thanks, Kristin, much appreciated! Marcus
As soon as I saw these I was going to suggest city lights from up above taken while commuting. Both Nuremberg and Portland perhaps? They could be made into some very cool large feature-piece artwork.
You nailed it, Jill, only it was Amsterdam 😉 ! Thanks, glad you like them! Marcus
I do consider them to be art. Very much so. I’m thinking the first is a view of a city, with a football stadium, taken from a high vantage point, with deliberate but controlled handshake. Probably taken out of the window of an aeroplane during one of your many flights. That makes me think that the second and third are of airports during the stages of landing.
You are spot on, Richard. Apart from the football stadium being a race track. But this is Amsterdam from the air and Schiphol airport during taxi to the gate. And I used ICM (intentional camera movement) technique to get this kind of random images. Thanks for commenting! Marcus
